En el centenario del nacimiento de Luis Martín-Santos, el Teatro Español recupera una joya desconocida de su legado literario: Viaje hasta el límite, un drama familiar escrito en 1953, que por primera vez sube a los escenarios bajo la dirección de Eduardo Vasco.
Ambientada en la España de los años cincuenta, la obra nos sumerge en la opresiva atmósfera de un elegante chalet donde Pedro, un empresario inválido y tiránico, ve cómo su mundo se desmorona con la llegada de un misterioso Intruso. A su alrededor, la ambición de su hijo y la vitalidad de su joven esposa revelan un conflicto existencial que recuerda al Rey Lear, en un texto cargado de tensiones filosóficas, políticas y emocionales.
Con un reparto encabezado por Ernesto Arias, Lara Grube y Agus Ruiz, y con un impecable trabajo escenográfico y de vestuario firmado por Carolina González y Lorenzo Caprile, Viaje hasta el límite se presenta como un acontecimiento teatral que rescata la voz menos conocida del autor de Tiempo de silencio, y la devuelve al público con toda su potencia dramática intacta.

Set in Spain in the 1950s, the work immerses us in the oppressive atmosphere of an elegant villa where Pedro, an invalid and tyrannical businessman, sees his world crumble with the arrival of a mysterious Intruder. Around him, the ambition of his son and the vitality of his young wife reveal an existential conflict reminiscent of King Lear, in a text loaded with philosophical, political and emotional tensions.
With a cast headed by Ernesto Arias, Lara Grube and Agus Ruiz, and with impeccable scenographic and costume work signed by Carolina González and Lorenzo Caprile, Viaje a el limit is presented as a theatrical event that rescues the lesser-known voice of the author of Tiempo de Silencio, and returns it to the public with all its dramatic power intact.
