Entregan Premios PLATINO del Público

This Saturday, April 26, Teatro Albeniz Madrid hosted the press conference prior to the PLATINO Awards gala, in which Eva Longoria was honored with the PLATINO de Honor 2025 for her outstanding career in the audiovisual industry.
Enrique Cerezo, executive president of the PLATINO Awards, highlighted the importance of her figure in Hollywood: “With this PLATINUM Honor we honor a career full of talent and quality, and the work of a filmmaker who, without forgetting her origins, has turned Ibero-American talent into a world-renowned brand,” he stated. Cerezo also highlighted Longoria’s impact on Latina representation and her role as a trailblazer for future generations of women in the industry.
The press conference, which also included the participation of Mariano de Paco, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, and Inmaculada Sánchez-Cervera Valdés, general coordinator of the Mayor’s Office of the Madrid City Council, highlighted the Spanish capital as one of the great international centers for audiovisual production.
The meeting ended with the presentation of the PLATINO Audience Awards, which recognize the vote of Ibero-American viewers. “La Infiltrada”, by Arantxa Echevarría, received the award for Best Ibero-American Fiction Film.Este sábado 26 de abril,Teatro Albeniz Madrid ha acogido la rueda de prensa previa a la gala de los Premios PLATINO, en la que Eva Longoria ha sido homenajeada con el PLATINO de Honor 2025 por su destacada trayectoria en la industria audiovisual.
Enrique Cerezo, presidente ejecutivo de los Premios PLATINO, destacó la importancia de su figura en Hollywood: “Con este PLATINO de Honor homenajeamos una carrera repleta de talento y calidad, y la labor de una cineasta que, sin olvidar sus orígenes, ha convertido el talento iberoamericano en una marca de referencia mundial”, afirmó. Cerezo también subrayó el impacto de Longoria en la representación latina y su papel como pionera para futuras generaciones de mujeres en la industria.La rueda de prensa, que contó además con la participación de Mariano de Paco, consejero de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid, y de Inmaculada Sánchez-Cervera Valdés, coordinadora general de Alcaldía del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, puso en valor a la capital española como uno de los grandes centros internacionales para la producción audiovisual.
El encuentro finalizó con la entrega de los Premios PLATINO del Público, que reconocen el voto de los espectadores iberoamericanos. “La Infiltrada”, de Arantxa Echevarría, recibió el premio a Mejor Película Iberoamericana de Ficción.
